Here's a deleted scene from Girls, HBO's show about upper middle class white twentysomething girls living in Brooklyn, that's made the rounds recently. In it, showrunner Lena Dunham's character Hannah Horvath attempts to get a job at the Little Cupcake Bakeshop in Nolita. Unfortunately, when she follows up on her application she finds the position has already been filled.
Says the guy at the shop: "Listen, can I give you a friendly rec? If you're looking for a job you should probably do it a little more boisterously." So remember, when applying for a job in a cupcake shop, don't drop off your resume all "meh," drop it off all "haaaa." The upside is that, while she doesn't get a job, Dunham's Horvath does get a little something "on the hizzouse."
