Dickens Dinner at Amali; $39 Menu at Pig and Khao

UPPER EAST SIDE — From now through January 6, Amali is serving a special Charles Dickens-themed holiday menu in a second floor room of the restaurant. Some of the options include: goose leg salad, raw oysters, fried oysters, braised chestnuts, and foie gras with black truffles. The dinner is $95 per person. Check out the menu below. [EaterWire]

LOWER EAST SIDE — Starting tomorrow, Pig and Khao will offer $1 beer every day of the week from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Also, the restaurant is launching a five-course tasting menu for $39 which will only be available at the bar Monday through Wednesday. [EaterWire]

LOWER EAST SIDE — Cool guy bartenders Damon Boelte (Prime Meats) and Aaron Polsky (Amor y Amargo) are hosting a series of events under the name Cripple Creek. The first night is this Sunday, December 9 at Lit Lounge. The two bartenders will make "some of their past hits as well as a few new collaborations."
