Here's a look around Chez Sardine, the new West 10th Street restaurant from Gabe Stulman and chef Mehdi Brunet-Benkritly. Since day one, Stulman has pitched this as an inauthentic version of a Japanese izakaya, and that's still a good way to describe what's going on here. The menu features sushi and several other overtly Japanese dishes, as well as things like a grilled cheese sandwich with foie gras, crispy chicken with kimchi, and breakfast pancakes with fish tartare. Chez Sardine is now open for dinner. Take a look at the full menu, plus more pictures of the space:[Daniel Krieger] Chez Sardine Menu
