Right after the flood waters came bursting through the doors of their restaurant Gargiulo's, chef Michael Russo and his family vowed to get the space back open by the beginning of December. And on Saturday, the Russos made good on their promise. Eater stopped by the restaurant at 4 p.m. that day to chat with Michael about how his family and their employees got the restaurant back open, and what the shuttering and reopening of Gargiulo's means to them. As he explains: "It's 1907 all over again. We're starting from scratch. I've been saying to people that I got hit with a sledgehammer, but you can come back from getting hit."
