This update from the new branch of Motorino is so big that it needed a crane to deliver it! That's right, the currently-under-construction branch of Mathieu Palombino's pizza joint received a massive delivery this morning, as the restaurant's crucial pizza oven was delivered by crane to the space. The new oven arrived on a flatbed truck and required a crew of at least five men to guide it into the new space. No word on if the oven is the same as the Acunto oven Palombino uses in the East Village, which was hand crafted in Naples for Anthony Mangieri, owner of Una Pizza Napoletana, but we will find out when the restaurant opens sometime next year.
