Fresh Salt is back in action, baby. The South Street Seaport restaurant was shuttered for nearly two months due to damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. But the owners were able to get the place back up and running late last week, and they plan to return to full, all-day service tomorrow. And on Sunday, the proprietors of the legendary Randazzo's Clam Bar in Sheepshead Bay posted the following message on Facebook: "Today is our first day opened!!!! We wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday!" An employee at the restaurant just confirmed that Randazzo's is open right this very second, so if you want some clams this afternoon, you know where to go. Nobody's working very hard this week, and your boss certainly won't mind if you cut out a little early today.
Both restaurants were just removed from Eater's Post-Sandy shutter map, and hopefully The Good Fork and Home/Made will also reopen by the end of the week. Do you know of any other restaurants that are bouncing back? Please don't keep it a secret, hit up your friends at Eater, we'll get the word out.
