Post-Sandy NYC

2012_12_LobsterPoundQL.jpgFor Red Hook Lobster Pound, the debate between simply rebuilding or using Hurricane Sandy as a chance to make improvements took the form of a deep fryer, the installation of which would cost thousands of dollars and delay reopening. Owners Susan Povich and Ralph Gorham decided to make the change, though, so whenever it does reopen the Pound will, unlike its previous incarnation, actually have fries. [NYT]
