The Department Health has yet to start inspecting restaurants in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy, and won't send out inspectors in those neighborhoods until 2013. A department spokesperson tells the Times that they're instead providing "consultations" in person or by phone to affected restaurants that are in the process of rebuilding, with letter-grade inspections resuming January 2.
