Ken Friedman and April Bloomfield's taqueria in the Pod 39 Hotel is now serving food and drinks to the people of Midtown. The restaurant is currently open for lunch, and dinner will kick off next Monday. If you look closely at the photos above, you'll notice that one wall is covered in taco ingredients. Bloomfield and Fonda chef Roberto Santibanez collaborated on the menu, which includes snacks, tortas, tacos, and bigger plates like a whole roasted pig's head and a barbecued lamb shoulder. Cocktail hot shot Sam Anderson created the beverage list.

Right now, Salvation Taco is only open for lunch (food till 5 p.m., drinks all night), but soon it will be open all day, starting at 7 a.m. And when the weather's nice, the entire menu will be available in the rooftop bar.
