Bay Area Chef Elizabeth Falkner Unveils Neapolitan Pizzeria Krescendo

Perpetual television competitor-chef and recent arrival from San Francisco Elizabeth Falkner has opened her new Boerum Hill pizzeria Krescendo. The Top Chef Masters alum, who's also competing on this year's Next Iron Chef: Redemption, formerly owned the cinema-inspired San Francisco spots Orson and Citizen Cake, which she closed to head this way. The restaurant is owned by Brooklyn native Nancy Puglisi, formerly of Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco (they of the short-lived 900 Degrees import), plus Bay Area barman Darren Crawford. As Flo Fab noted recently, the menu includes a combo of classic Neapolitan pizzas like the margarita and original takes like the fennel with provolone and the goat cheese with prosciutto and padron peppers, plus fresh pastas and gelati.
