Jean-Georges Vongerichten is bringing yet another food space to the ABC Carpet & Home store in the Flatiron District, telling the Post that he is in talks to open an Eataly-esque market there. The unnamed market will come in addition to Vongerichten's ABC Kitchen, and a new tapas concept called ABC Cocina, which the chef will debut next year in the space that currently houses Pipa.
At this point, details are scant on the new project. It will occupy the space vacated this summer by The Conran Shop, and will feature a green market and prepared foods, with an emphasis on things that are "very local" and "very American." JGV tells the Post it's "just an idea" right now, so more to come, hopefully.
