This Thursday, November 8, over 30 restaurants and shops in North Brooklyn will particiapte in Dine Out Williamsburg, a Hurricane Sandy relief effort to benefit the Red Cross. All of the restaurants will give 10 to 20 percent of their gross sales from that night to the Red Cross. There will be no special menus or door charges — all you have to do is and eat and drink like you normally would on any other night.
Right now the roster includes: Best Pizza, Diner, Forcella, Gwynnett St., Lady Jay's, Marlow & Sons, Parish Hall, Pies 'n' Thighs, Rye, Vine Wine, The Brooklyn Star, The Meatball Shop, Reynard, and Cafe Colette, to name a few. The official site features a guide (with a map) of the restaurants that are participating that night, and the organizers are looking for more restaurants to join the effort, so do let them know. Full disclosure: One of the organizers of the event is Eater Editorial Director Amanda Kludt.
Check out Eater's guide to where to eat for Hurricane Sandy relief for more information on the restaurants across New York City that are aiding the relief effort. And if you know of a restaurant or bar to add to that guide, please send that information to the tipline.
