1) West Village: A tipster sends in photos of the former Corrado Bread and Pastry space, which is well on its way to becoming the Manhattan location of the Carroll Gardens hit Bien Cuit Bakery. Calling all baristas: they're hiring. [PLYWOOD]
2) Lower East Side: Signage is up for the Brooklyn import Lobster Joint, coming to 201 East Houston. Bowery Boogie hears that it should open sometime next month. [PLYWOOD]
3) Park Slope: As always, there are approximately 250 new restaurants coming to Park Slope. Per Here's Park Slope, there's a new Japanese restaurant coming to 847 Union St., and seafood restaurant called the Crab Spot. The Crab Spot is opening within the next couple of weeks, and is owned by the sons of Volna in Brighton Beach. [PRE-PLYWOOD, POST-PLYWOOD]
4) Tribeca: Tribeca Citizen hears that the owners of the Greek restaurant Thalassa have purchased the building at 114 Franklin. The commercial space there was most recently Albert Trummer's Theater Bar, which shuttered earlier this year. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
5) Flatiron District: Construction has begun on a new location of Sarabeth's in the former Primehouse space on Park Avenue South at 27th Street. [PLYWOOD]
