WASHINGTON D.C. —Eric Ripert is pulling out of his Washington D.C. restaurant, Westend Bistro by Eric Ripert in the Ritz Carlton. Riper tells the Washington Post, "I'm leaving the Ritz on great terms...We've met all the goals. I'm very proud of what we've done." Ripert says that he wants to focus his attention on Le Bernardin and also, maybe a new NYC project. [WaPo via Eater National]

COCKTAIL WEEK — Now just so happens to be Pappy season, the time of year when Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery sends out shipments of its cult-like bourbon across the country. Eater National put together a map of where you can find this precious liquid. In NYC, you can find Pappy at Booker and Dax, Ward III, The Whiskey Ward, and Fette Sau. [Eater National]

UPPER WEST SIDE — Bill Telepan will start serving his beloved latkes at Telepan on December 8. They will be available with a side of sour cream or applesauce for $14, or as an entree with smoked salmon and salmon roe for $22. [EaterWire]
