Nom Wah's Pop-Up Space; Latkes at Kutsher's Tribeca

LOWER EAST SIDE ? Nom Wah Tea Parlor owner Wilson Tang is branching out with a new collaboration with Jonathan Daou of OpenHouse. The two are partnering on a new pop-up space at 169 Bowery that will be a gallery, kitchen, and food space. Tang tells Grub Street he hopes to have the space available to chefs for pop-ups and test kitchens by January. There should be a café open by Christmas. [GS]

TRIBECA ? El Chod's Jewish restaurant Kutsher's Tribeca is bringing back its Hanukah celebration, the Eight Nights of Latkes. Every night between December 8 and December 15, the restaurant will feature a different special latke preparation, like the pastrami smoked duck, pear butter, and sour cherry latkes on December 8 and pastrami reuben latkes on December 13. HELL'S KITCHEN ? The Ninth Avenue Italian restaurant Terrazza Toscana has shuttered, with a new location of the gay sports bar Boxers moving in. This is just a few blocks from the last Hell's Kitchen location eyed by the bar. This location will be a three floor project, including the rooftop. [DNAinfo]
