Danny Meyer to Open Shake Shack London in 2013

Reps from Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group announce that a brand new location of Shake Shack will open in London's Covent Garden neighborhood next year. The first-ever UK Shake Shack will be located in the Market Building near the Royal Opera House. In a press release, Meyer notes: "We're positively in love with London's thriving food culture, and are humbled and excited to bring Shake Shack to the UK." Shake Shack London will serve the same burgers, dogs, and shakes that are found at the New York restaurants, plus a few location-specific items. No word yet on what these dishes will be, but Danny will probably think up a few new custard flavors (or flavours) with UK-themed names.

Just a few suggestions to get the ball rolling: God Save the Creamsicle, Camilla Parker Brownie Crunch, and Simply Red Velvet Cake — remember, the Brits love Simply Red. That band sold over 50 million albums in the UK. It's a totally different culture over there.
