Old Homestead Steakhouse served a free early Thanksgiving dinner to 120 residents of Far Rockaway and Coney Island, who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. The point, says co-owner Greg Sherry: "We can't give them back their homes, heat and electricity. But we can give them a few great hours of great food and a little bit of their dignity back." [NYDN]
