Torrisi Italian Specialties Announces Menu Changes

New, 7 comments

The Torrisi Italian Specialties that New Yorkers have come to know and love will look a bit different in the very near future. According to the New York Times, Rich Torrisi and Mario Carbone will be switching things up at their Nolita hot spot starting December 1.

So what changes are coming to Mulberry Street? Well, for starters, Team Torrisi is hiking the price of their popular seven-course prix fixe menu up from $65 to $75. They'll also add a second pasta dish option to the menu and replace the cookie plate with a legitimate dessert course. The Chef's Tasting Menu (still $160) will no longer serve as a tribute to old New York, but will now have a more seasonal slant instead. On the reason for the changes, Rich Torrisi tells Flo Fab: "We are making these changes in an effort to continually evolve the restaurant. Many guests having the prix-fixe often ask if they can have a tasting or order other dishes. With these changes we give guests the option to curate their own experience more and go bigger if they so choose."
