Balthazar is back, baby. Yesterday, employees from Keith McNally's classic Brasserie set up a grill in front of the restaurant and prepared lobster and steak sandwiches for the hungry people of Soho. Louis Moreta, the proprietor of the Old Homestead Steakhouse, also set up a sidewalk grill yesterday on which he cooked steaks for a mob of Meatpacking District diners. No word yet on whether Balthazar and Old Homstead will continue their street meat stands today. Check out a picture of the sandwiches that the Balth was serving yesterday:
This sandwich cost just $5.
