Bad Landlords

2012_10_EVThai.jpgThe teeny tiny East Village Thai was forced to close last month because of a gas shutoff related to leaky pipes in its building, losing a full month of revenue so far. The only bright side is that owner Paul Euiu was told he didn't have to worry about October rent while the landlord tried to fix the issue, until lo and behold Euiu was given a rent bill yesterday. No word on when the gas will be back on and the restaurant will reopen. [The Local]
