2012_10_zocalo.jpgZócalo, the Mexican restaurant in the Grand Central Terminal space that will soon house Shake Shack, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection today. Since the restaurant's lease expired in August of 2011, owners have refused to vacate the space, suing Grand Central after they were given an eviction notice in February. According to an affidavit, "The litigation [with the MTA] has taken a financial toll." [Crains]
