Bao Noodles, Garden Spot Cafe, and Pinisi All Shutter

1) Gramercy: Second Avenue Vietnamese restaurant Bao Noodles closed this week. No exact word on why, but the word on the street is the restaurant succumbed to lease issues. [pcvstBee]

2) Greenpoint: Garden Spot Café, the short-lived replacement of the neighborhood stalwart Greenpoint Coffee House, has closed for good. A sign on the door says that the space will reopen in 2013 as a new restaurant under new management. [NY Shitty]

3) East Village: Pinisi Café and Bakery on East Fourth Street is dunzo. An EV Grieve reader noticed workers clearing it out and removing the neon sign this past weekend. Another location on First Avenue closed a little over two years ago. [EV Grieve]

4) Upper East Side: 25-year-old Upper East Side mainstay Café Greco shuttered "sometime during the past couple of weeks," quoth Grub Street. Its supplies were auctioned off Wednesday afternoon. [GS]
