Not My Day Job Talent Showcase; Shucked at Peels

MIDTOWNOn October 21, Epicurean Management (the group that operates Dell'Anima and L'Artusi), will host Not My Day Job, an entertainment showcase at The Prince George Ballroom featuring members of the restaurant industry. Food and cocktails will be provided by The Meatball Shop, Marc Forgione, Colicchio & Sons, Mile End Deli, Shake Shack, and a ton of other New York restaurants. Tickets are $50, and all proceeds go towards Greenwich House, Forth Block arts, and Urban Arts Partnership. [EaterWire]

EAST VILLAGE — On October 22, Peels will host an Island Creek Oyster tasting event called Shucked. The restaurant will be serving oysters by the dozen ($18) and half dozen ($10), plus oyster shooters for $6. [EaterWire]
