In a clear sign that summer is so far behind us, the Park Slope location of the ice pop shop People's Pops has closed up shop for the season. But that doesn't mean Union Street's going to have a glaringly vacant storefront for five or six months: another Brooklyn Flea standout, Landhaus, is moving into the space.
The "farm-to-sandwich" stand has been looking to open a brick-and-mortar in Park Slope for a little while now, owner Matthew Lief tells Here's Park Slope. This gives the Torrisi alum time to scope out the neighborhood and "test the waters."
Landhaus's bacon-on-a-stick and selection of sandwiches and snacks will take over the space on November 1. The operation will stay there until People's Pops returns in the spring.
