Midtown Maison Kayser via Midtown Lunch.

1) Midtown: Famed Paris baker Eric Kayser's first US bakery, Maison Kayser, opened this summer on the Upper East Side. The next two locations are already in the works: one in the Flatiron District (coming in November) and one in Midtown (coming in January). [PRE-PLYWOOD]

2) Upper West Side: The team behind the Pomodoro on the UWS is opening Park West, an American bistro, at 103 W 70th St. Also coming to the UWS is an Italian-French restaurant called Hey Mambo, in the former Blue Donkey Bar space. [PLYWOOD]

3) Bushwick: Bushwick's getting a Vietnamese street food joint called Falansai. Owner Henry Trieu helped open the Slanted Door in San Francisco back in the '90s, before leaving the restaurant world for a career in IT. The food will be a combo of Vietnamese, Chaozhou, and French. [PLYWOOD]
4) Park Slope: The signage is up at Beygl, the new bagel shop by Brookly-born brothers Joey and Robert Massa. Located in the former El Pollo space, Beygl's got a pretty heavy reclaimed wood aesthetic going on. [PLYWOOD]

5) Midtown: A new spot called 2Beans is opening on Park Avenue between 40th and 41st. The focus is primarily on pairing coffee and chocolate, but there will be a savory menu of sandwiches and sushi as well. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

6) Fidi: Roti Mediterranean Grill, a build-your-own pita chain with locations in Chicago and Washington D.C., is coming to Pearl Street. Started by a former Chipotle chairman, the chain has plans to open about a dozen NYC locations in the next couple of years. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
