Chef Jose Garces isn't the only big name (or Iron Chef alum) to open at the forthcoming Revel Casino on the boardwalk of Atlantic City. The Post reports today that Tribeca chef Marc Forgione, son of legend Larry, will open American Cut along with his backers at LDV Hospitality (the group behind Scarpetta, Veritas, La Promenade, and others). The 11,000 square foot ocean front steakhouse will seat 300 and include a "meat bar" as well as a raw bar where diners can watch the chefs as they work. It is set to open this spring alongside Garces' two spots, a 38,000 square foot nightclub handled by some Vegas operators, two other clubs, two theaters, and plenty of retail shops.
See a promotional video detailing some of the aspects of the space below, wherein a LDV principal calls the restaurant a "rock 'n' roll, new, young, version of a steakhouse," while Forgione sells it as "elegance meets sexiness meets fine dining meets a steakhouse."
