The Landlord Appeal

New, 9 comments

2012_1_subway1.jpgCommunity Board 3 sent out a letter to property owners in the East Village and LES recently arguing for a need for more neighborhood-friendly businesses and less nightlife and restaurant operations. The aim is to persuade landlords to seek diverse tenants instead of the ones that can, you know, pay the most. According to the letter, they want more grocers, butchers, shoe stores, and stationary stores. [EVG]
