WILLIAMSBURG — Grub Street reports that the original location of Fatty Cue is now closed for renovations. The restaurant scaled back service to its bar room space about a month ago, but the management says they should reopen the entire restaurant on March 15. [Grub Street]
BOOK CLUB — Former Jean Georges pastry chef Johnny Iuzzini has signed a deal to write an as-yet untitled desserts cookbook. This is Iuzzini's second cookbook — the first being a collection of dessert quartets called Dessert FourPlay — and it will "illustrate how to take basic recipes to turn them into simple but impressive desserts."
