A recent Michael James/Epic Group email blast has resulted in one of the epic fails in the history of nightlife promoters. It seems that they had been working on a guest list for an event at Tiffany featuring Solange Knowles, and the initial response from their email blast was so overwhelming that the event producers told Epic that their guests were no longer welcome.
Being good promoters, they sent out another email blast to their list to explain the situation, saying "Due to an overwhelming response for the Tiffany Event tonight, they have pre-wristbanded their VIP's due to capacity and fire marshall issues. They will not be able to grant access to my guests at Tiffany & Co. this evening. Any models who rsvp'd will be admitted to the event, but they cannot bring any guests unless thier guests are models too. We apologize for your inconvenience." So if your friends lost their model ID card, they weren't going to be able to make it to this amazing event.
Another email from the group soon followed that offered a retraction from their earlier email, which said, "this is a message retracting the statement from the prior email that only models will be admitted and that their guests had to be models too. We have been informed that the best looking guests will be admitted wether they are models or not. Models can bring whoever they want to the event. We were worried that good people might be turned away at the door, but have been assured that the best looking people will have no problem."
What a relief! Anyway, the party went off last night without a hitch. No word if any ugly people made it inside.
