2012_01_redhookbeer.jpgOfficials from the U.S. Department of Customs and Border Protection are planning to shut down their inspection station at the Red Hook Container Terminal, forcing companies receiving cargo to unload the goods and send them by truck to a different port with inspection capabilities. The Red Hook terminal receives almost 15% of New York's imported beer, and the planned closure will most likely add $0.75 top each six pack of beer. [NYT]
