SD26 Waiter Arrested for Stealing $6K in Wine

New, 3 comments

A server at Tony May's downtown Italian restaurant SD26 was arrested recently for stealing $6,434 worth of wine. Police say the waiter, William Pomakoy, was caught on surveillance video going into the restaurant's subterranean Wine Connoisseurs Room on Christmas Eve and filling a bag with eight of the restaurant's most expensive bottles of wine, which must have made for some great Christmas gifts for his friends and family.

May tells the Post, "We want this wine back. This is some of the better wine that we have on our entire list." Good luck there, Tone. Chances are those bottles were killed off by New Year's Day.
