Sugar & Plumm Purveyors of Yumm, a giant candy store opening soon on the Upper West Side, will submit new plans to the Landmarks Preservation Commission today, a month after the community criticized its "garish" facade. They've cut the candy-colored light sconces, the lollipop door handles, and some of the signage, and are now designing the place based on a 1930s photo the LPC gave them for inspiration.
