Vague Shutters

Earlier this summer, there were rumors that Josh Eden's Shorty's.32 might be closing. In June, a staff member told Eater that the restaurant had no plans to drop the shutter any time soon. But as of today, the phone is disconnected, their OpenTable page is non-operational, there's no activity on the Twitter account, and a neighbor says that the restaurant is still on a "summer break." Hopefully they will return for the fall, but if not this will be Eden's second shutter of the year. UPDATE: Grub Street confirms that it's dunzo. A source close to the restaurant says it's turning into "some sort of lounge-slash-bar." [EaterWire]
