New, 4 comments

WEST VILLAGE — Yakiniku parlor Takashi is serving a special "Beauty from Within" menu throughout Fashion Week. The 7-course prix fixe includes several dishes made with collagen and other vitamin-rich foods, and the idea is that these will improve your skin, make you feel younger, and generally increase your sense of well-being. The menu is $60 per person. [EaterWire]

LOWER EAST SIDE — The Bowery Whole Foods is launching a "brinery," with pickles from Rick’s Picks, Sour Puss, Brooklyn Brine, and McClure’s. They're holding an event on opening day, September 13, where guests can meet the pickle makers, and sample the brined goods as well as beer and cheese. [EaterWire]

LITTLE ITALY — The team from Brooklyn Bangers, the charcuterie company led by Saul Bolton, will be serving up spicy Italian sausages and meatball parmigiana sandwiches at the Feast of San Gennaro this year. These dishes will also be served at Bolton's forthcoming restaurant Red Gravy in Brooklyn Heights. Their stand will be on Mulberry Street between Kenmare and Spring streets. [EaterWire]
