Farmerie, Reichler, Freitag on Board for Food Film Fest

The NYC Film Food Fest is next month, a four day event featuring screenings of food-related films, and a number of themed tastings with some big NYC chefs. The schedule includes: a "Food Porn Party" with Brad Farmerie and the Saxon and Parole team; Cheers to Burgers & Beers, with burgers from Brett Reichler of Bill’s Bar & Burger; a screening of Mistura: the Power of Food, a film that features Gastón Acurio of La Mar Cebicheria; and an evening of farm-related food films with Amanda Freitag.

Most interesting, perhaps, is the Tribeca Taco Takedown, which will have tacos from Rockaway Taco, Dos Toros Taqueria, Tortilleria Nixtamal, and Dos Caminos, plus a screening of several tortilla-themed shorts including the excellent Rockaway Taco by The Selby (watch it here). The film fest runs October 13-16, and tickets are now on sale.
