Though most assumed this, Sam Sifton confirms in his Hey, Mr. Critic column this week that his last day at the Dining Section will be in October. In the column there is also a reader who says he is spoiled by all the wonderful restaurants in "art rich Bushwick" and wants to know where to go on the Upper East Side, which is amusing for a number of reasons.
