Even with Maison Ladurée in the neighborhood, the new Bloomingdales location of Magnolia Bakery is doing killer business. Over its first weekend, the shop sold 1,200 classic cupcakes at $3 a pop. Red velvet cupcakes and banana pudding did nearly as well. [Racked NY]
