South Brooklyn Pizza Owner to Open Buschenshank BK

Reps announce that James McGown, the owner of the growing mini chain South Brooklyn Pizza, has a new non-pizza centric spot planned for Carroll Gardens. Later this month he will open Buschenshank Brooklyn—yes Buschenshank Brooklyn—on the corner of Court and Sackett Street. It will offer food from the northern Italian region of South Tyrol (where apparently they called taverns Buschenshanks). They'll serve mostly Italian/Germanic fare like cured meat boards, pickled vegetables, knodel, sausages and Westphalian ham, and German beer and wine.

As a bonus, they'll have live bands every week "focusing on German pop and rock but also European and American bands." Look out for it in the coming weeks.
