Last night, the Korilla Korean taco truck was eliminated off the reality food show the Great Food Truck Race, and it wasn't because they performed poorly. Midtown Lunch reports that the New York based truck made it all the way to the final four but we having a hard time of it in the last challenge in Memphis (where contestants couldn't serve meat). When host Tyler Florence announced the winners at the end of the episode, he said, in a surprise twist, the truck was disqualified for cooking the books. Apparently, to make their sales seem greater—trucks with the lowest sales lose—the owners of the truck padded the till with $2,000 of their own money, which did not match up with sales receipts and did not go over well with the reality show overlords. So they were kicked off for cheating.
Disgracefully discharged...from a food reality show...hosted by Tyler Florence. That's hitting a new bottom.
