Serious Eats goes to the Greenmarket to see how area farmers are doing after the devastation of Hurricane Irene in New York, New Jersey, and Vermont. Stands were well stocked yesterday, but those crops were harvested before the storm. Some farmers were lucky enough to only lose some plants while others still can't assess how bad the damage is since the water hasn't receded. [SE]
