Masak, an new Singaporean restaurant, will open on 13th Street near 1st Avenue sometime in the coming weeks, and will serve items that are currently hard to find in New York. Snacks and apps will be inspired by "fry-up" joints, and the whole menu will exhibit both Malay and Cantonese influences. The restaurant seats 40 and has a small open kitchen. [GS]
