4) Lower East Side: After a delayed post July 4th opening slate, it looks like Neopolitan-focused Taverna de Bocco is gearing up to open its refurbished facade to LES-ers tonight, according to Bowery Boogie. Not much is known about the menu, and its liquor license retains uncertain status thanks to the antics of Community Board 3, but owner Maurizio Crescenzo has been working on a reimagination of the interior and garden dining is definite. We look forward to seeing what the southern Italian cooks up. Status: Most likely opening tonight; 175 Ludlow St.
