Ryan Skeen Pop-Up Canceled Before it Started

New, 15 comments

Back in June Food & Wine reported that New York's favorite peripatetic chef Ryan Skeen was opening up a pop-up this summer at Brad's at 10 Waverly Place. It was a fitting, if amusing, fit for a chef known for popping into exec chef and consulting jobs for a few months at a time. However it was not meant to be.

The July opening date came and went, and the Village never got to pay $50 for three-course menus from the Skeen Machine or his guest chefs Nate Appleman, Katy Sparks and Michael Psilakis. Folks at Brad's say their "management decided not to partake in that program," while reps for Skeen say the financing "didn't make sense." Hopefully he'll pop up somewhere else soon. And until then, a menu he consulted on is available at Il Cibreo on the Upper West Side.
