Midtown lunch crowds, take note. Ma Peche, the somewhat upscale French-Vietnamese restaurant under the Momofuku umbrella, has decided to give the people what they want. And what they want is pork buns. The restaurant recently added the buns to the lunch menu only, much to the delight of a couple of Midtown tipsters, making Momofuku Ko the only restaurant in the empire (including the Milk Bars) to not serve at least some variation of the bun.
And that's not all. Now the restaurant has a little shindig they're calling Sundays on the X, wherein "má pêche’s chefs create and serve you their version of sunday dinner." This month's version of the dinner takes place on Sunday, September 11 at 6:30 PM. They'll serve a five course tasting menu featuring halibut from nova scotia for $75 with a $25 optional beverage pairing. Reservations at 212-247-1045.
