Ed Schoenfeld and Joe Ng's Red Farm Opens Tonight

In January 2010, news first broke that Chinese restaurant expert Ed Schoenfeld and Chinatown Brasserie chef Joe Ng would be opening a dim sum spot on Hudson Street with the backing of Jeffrey Chodorow. The project stalled for some time, and in the meantime, the trio opened a preliminary version of the restaurant in the form of a stand at El Chod's FoodParc food court. Now, the real restaurant, a small, rustic second story space, is ready for its big debut.

As Gael Greene has noted, the place has been in previews for weeks, serving dishes like shu mai shooters, Pac-man dumplings, Katz’s pastrami spring rolls, and Kowloon filet mignon tarts. So by this time, the kinks should be worked out. Take a look around above, the menu below, and send all early reports this way.
