1) Tribeca: Tribeca Citizen learns that mini diner chain Kool Bloo is opening up a location in the former Terrace Fish & Chips space at 178 Church St. Meanwhile, they report that Dr. Michel Cohen of Tribeca Pediatrics is turning the old Bangal Curry space at 65 W. Broadway into a "high quality lunch food" spot during the day and a cafe and wine bar at night. It will be designed by Matthew Maddy, he of Weather Up and No. 7. It should open in October. [PLYWOOD]

2) Upper West Side: My Upper West reports that a new location of Crumbs cupcake shop is opening on Broadway between 108th and 109th Streets. [PLYWOOD]
3) Greenwich Village: Alec Tabak gets a new shot of Pop's of Brooklyn, a Williamsburg import opening soon in the old Johnny Rockets space on 8th Street by NYU. [PLYWOOD]

4) Lower East Side: Bowery Boogie reports that the new espresso bar opening at 87 Bowery this fall will be called Bowery Coffee. It will be a to-go shop, serving coffee from Counter Culture Coffee alongside snacks like brownies and cookies. [PLYWOOD]

5) Park Slope: Here's Park Slope writes that construction continues at Sweet Wolf's, a new 45-seat restaurant from the former GM of Toby's Public House. The oven is built, the bar is in place, and they plan on opening in mid-September. It will serve "American classics (and yes, duck fat Belgian fries are still on it), with a focus on using the wood-fired oven as often as possible." [PLYWOOD]
