The Five Best Comments on Eater this Week

Welcome to Saturday Night Five, where we shine a light on the best quips, barbs, burns, and nuggets of truth from Eater NY commenters. Here's this week's cream of the crop:

5) An anonymous commenter has an addendum to the Decanted post about the beverages at CrossBar:

You forgot to mention the house beer at CrossBar! They have a beer called Baptism Brew!! Drink one and you'll feel like you're in heaven. Drink two and you'll feel like you're in hell!!! Todd is a marketing genius!!!!!
4) WDT on Dans Le Noir's new location:
Does it matter where it is or what it looks like? You're not going to see anything if you eat there...

3) An anonymous commenter (presumably a restaurateur) offers another example of coupon site bullying:

I had a woman from approach me to "feature" my restaurant. I told her we don't pay to be "featured" and we were not interested in offering our food at half price. She told me that I would attract Park Slope moms as new customers and they are so well off that they really didn't NEED the discount anyway. I wondered why I was supposed to sell my food to these women for half price and give the other half of the money then!
2) Gargupie is not excited about the cocktails at Dylan's Candy Bar:
Now all we need is a sandbox to play in with a bunch of sugar-rushed kids.
1) After reading Mimi Sheraton's remembrance of Regine's, Ron F. notes:
I still remember reading Sheraton's Regine's review and laughing like a crazy person. One of the most memorable restaurant reviews ever. Sheraton's era as the NYT critic was one of my favorites.
