1) East Village: As expected, East Village bluegrass bar Banjo Jim's is closing. After a farewell party tonight, new owners will take it over to open an "artisanal neighborhood cocktail bar" called The James Daniel. [EVG]

2) Midtown East: A tipster writes in, following yesterday's Motorino shutter news, "In less tragic shutter news today, Azure, an extremely large deli on 51st and 3rd appears to have closed over the weekend as all contents on the establishment have been removed. It was open as recently as this past Friday." [ShutterWire]

3) Midtown: Another reader writes in, "We were at Bar 12 and they told us they are closing on Sunday night. They are reopening as a new venue called Highland Park which will be a craft pub with chef Nadia Day in the kitchen. Farewell a favorite." [ShutterWire]

4) Midtown: Midtown Lunch reports that weird make your own ring shaped burger joint 4Food is closed for a "reboot" until September 7, their first anniversary. [ML]
