Daniel Angerer Sells Klee Brasserie and Little Cheese Pub

New, 4 comments

In one summer Chef Daniel Angerer has reduced his mini Chelsea restaurant empire from three to zero properties. In May, he closed his sausage concept Brats: Dogs and Wieners and expanded his Little Cheese Pub into the space. In June he closed his eldest restaurant, Klee Brasserie, and promised to reopen it as an Austrian wine bar this fall. Those plans are off.

His wife and business partner Lori Mason—she's the one who penned the poem about coupon sites ravaging struggling restaurants—tells Eater that he is selling both Little Cheese and Klee, adding that "He has officially joined a growing restaurant group that shares his passion for bringing sustainable, local fare on a larger scale." He will open a new restaurant with this unnamed restaurant group in mid-September.
