The Five Best Comments on Eater this Week

New, 3 comments

Welcome to Saturday Night Five, where we shine a light on the best quips, barbs, burns, and nuggets of truth from Eater NY commenters. Here's this week's cream of the crop:

5) NYGuerilla has some intel on Jim Burke, the chef from Philly who is coming to Stephen Starr's new restaurant:

James was one of the best meals I had......too bad Jim Burke never called me back about a job when he told me to contact him. I'll still try this place because he can cook.
4) An anonymous commenter is intrigued by the new Long Island City Food Truck Lot:
You had me at "dumpster swimming pools."

3) Josh Ozersky is not happy with the neighbor that helped close The Blue Donkey:

When will the tyranny of these crackpots and oddballs be overthrown? How many more businesses have to go under before the city wakes up and sees their self-important, destructive psychosis for what it is? I'm only sorry the bar didn't throw the guy a beating on the way out! He sure had it coming.
2) Sneakeater shares his thoughts on restaurant website design:
The worst site is every site that doesn't have a restaurant's address and (accurate) hours on the opening page.

Which means almost every site.

1) Gargupie on the UES mom who was banned from Fairway after getting caught stashing goods in her stroller:
Wait. So there are hidden cameras in all the Fairways or just the new one? I better watch it when I sample their grapes next time...
